Review: H2O Audio Amphibx waterproof armband for iPhone fits in

Amphibx fits is a two-year-old Amphibx, $ 80 waterproof armband, which was designed to work with the todir and help would you like to stay at the time, one of the waterproof microphone laden earbuds are not — and not quite as repeatable on any iPod varied physical size, as they are today. H2O was released later in the smaller, cheaper armband iPod shuffles and named, as well as its Amphibx Grip first waterproof microphone headset development contact, which collectively demonstrate that the company will not be able to create a compact and functional waterproof products for the sixth-generation iPod nano. Amphibx lessons of these products can play a replacement of the original template instead of the alternative: H2O pitches it lighter and more minimal solution is iPhone Headset ready, every bit of watertight and cheaper.

What to visit from dispose Amphibx Amphibx Fit is a design that was better or worse, and the vast majority of the wetsuit heft. Remain firmly attached, and even when used to sail, the original Amphibx armband arm may have been other athletes, in particular women's overkill is designed for runners and device-agnostic design does not provide any way to the rear of the camera uses the iPhone without a vacuum seal, remove the device. Published in an era where mobile and iPod touches like twin cameras are designed to Fit a mostly clear Amphibx soft plastic three-dimensional opaque black fabric, the outermost edge of the ring around the way you want. Add a fourth-generation iPhone or the iPod touch and the rear of the camera upside down, you can just drag the armband. H2O is also mounted headphone port and the device cursor trap door to Fit your iPod or iPhone to turn off the top, or bottom side of the page, rather than its original Amphibx armband, reduce network.

Although these changes are almost universally recognized as the original design improvements, they are the consequences. Permanently integrated Neoprene strap instead of Fit to use smaller and removable elastic one, works great, but it takes more moisture. Must be washed, but it will also need to be cleaned more frequently, if you intend to refer to it often in water. Clear bubble holder works well to preserve all of the iPhone model — and, on the other hand, similarly-sized devices — but needs to be pushed before it is shut down other backdoor, the air bubble is impeding the bulge in front of the touch screen. And even if the case is 12 feet of waterproof and can be floating instead of sinking into the water, the kelluvuutensa is opaque, the biscuit-shaped buoy which sits a little awkwardly Fit back from it, to prevent the armband arm should be completely comfortable contact sort. As much as we liked, what must be in the Atonement, is no doubt that it compromises the product.

That said, it is also quite remarkable accessory when you actually use it. Because the voice of the very first iPod H2O product — the only one that ever had informed it of the watertight seal — the company has turned Apple users safely to their devices in water dunk, otherwise dangerous experience, that the years of the new testing is never extinguished in cases the original send shivers up the spine. But you can pop your iPhone can hold, Lock closed Amphibx backdoor and hold water underneath the armband without worrying about the humidity intrusion. Jump to a group or jog with your iPhone, the rain is quite safe. Although Fit is designed to be used with any Audio to the surge waterproof series H2O earphones, which are not included in the annex, the company includes some of the other that the foam protects the headset; port for headset plugs, it is evident throughout the waterproofing and waterproof earphones required armband.

In addition to swimming and running on your iPhone — both characterize much of the development of contact-headphones — is an exceedingly rare Amphibx Fit a utility that allows you to take an iPhone-compatible wireless speaker system with full rights to use a shower or bathtub, does not include the entire touch screen access, even when it is flat on the floor or in the water. We had the iPhone within the appropriate stream stereo music wirelessly Amphibx Bluetooth speakers or use nearby Wi-Fi network instantly. We had the biggest challenge was oriented in such a way as to ensure that the evidence was at an angle of view and touch the armband. Harvennuksen armband, perhaps by integrating buoy Edging instead of the back to make it easier for you to use a later version, and much happier.

In such a way as to ensure the Fit is not perfect Amphibx waterproof armband for the iPhone, but it is quite a good value for the price of EUR 60 per asking and waterproof Armbands that hover in the $ 40-$ 50 range really stands out from the crowd. Athletes looking for a smaller and lower-profile option, you will find much more than the original Amphibx charity Amphibx fits, and in particular, if the occasional use of the camera is a pleasant, although serious, watersport fans may prefer to use the first template in the bigger, like hemp and wetsuit design. Because as much as anything else, depending on the size of the women should consider this template is H2O: the best iPhone-ready waterproof armband; men more likely to be divided into two models.

Review: iOS iHealth Lab iHealth blood Dock BP3

Straight out of the box for the Dock appears in is relatively simple: iHealth Lab ISVs who are making a glossy white plastic dock to the blood pressure arm cuff and a USB cable. Plug in your iPod touch, iPhone or iPad Dock and you will be prompted to download the application free of charge, iHealth BPM-Andon health, is obliged to make the BP3 hardware useful in any way. To connect to the wristband to the dock, run the application, and then press the yellow button to display the large — which is pretty much the average person has to know his first blood pressure reading to all. iHealth Lab is designed to be one of the hardware power button in the BP3 and off-mechanism. It is quite simple.

There is some Unexpected complications. Start a UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS (USB) cable, which uses an integrated battery, 400mAh of occasional accessory imeytyksiä you need. Because the iHealth Lab does not contain a wall adapter, you need a computer connected to the Dock for blood pressure supplements unit battery. When this is done, you can almost dome-shaped equipment almost anywhere you desire to rest; running and arm cuff, between pneumatic tube is three metres in length, so you need to use it near the top of the Chair to sit on. Almost all of the other blood pressure cuff, which used Velcro strap to customize your own ARM before it, drag it to the Dome is a strict measures pulse and fills the air, or blood pressure. iPad users in particular may be worried about keeping a light dock around unit-shifting during use.

Since iOS devices are involved, a couple of things are noting. Instead, that saves money by using the iOS device BP3 's screen and the processing of the kernel, this accessory at the same time, the premium price you require is a convenient measure of your own blood pressure device for Apple — blood pressure monitors offer a lot of standalone variable to your iPod, iPhone or iPad with the same functionality. Secondly, the BP3, thanks to you can customize its unusual shape. The unit is produced in the iPad built-in dock almost completely hardened plastic that has been molded support without cab equipment, but does not work most of the iPod, iPhone and iPad cases there. If the Dock Connector is not docked with the alapintaan, in the case of a problem of compatibility to be considerably less.

If the BP3 begins to make cheaper rivals on the increase, it offers the quality of the app will be assisted by the opasiteettiarvon. In addition, systolic, diastolic and pulse measurements right on the territory of a Member State — all of our testing, although still less reliable seemingly low battery power the unit during the period of application of the blood — iHealth, the history of the results of the rating as soon as the normal, high, normal, or variable causes unhealthy, as well as information about the results and charts the chart over time. Even if the application does not have a fancy, it starts with a very obvious, a great "start" button and contain quite a bit of optional information, which are presented in a simple tabs at the bottom of the main screens in the app. If all you want numbers, they are not so obvious ways most colored green to red at the other end of the scale, you can know whether the latest result is concerned; the text is there solely for those who want to read it carefully.

On the other hand, some of the features of the app will be an ideal way. It allows you to easily share "Share" button at the bottom of the results, but through the resulting formatted e-mail message displays more than raw statistical data than reasonably explain the blood pressure reading. In addition, the application does not support separating the results take account of the various users, so that all the history is automatically assumed to follow a single user. You must manually remove the direct marketing app charts, divergent entries. Finally, the Unknown reasons sometimes saw "This accessory is not supported on the iPad," or "iPhone" messages from the iOS 4.2, in spite of having each device installed, depending on the application. This may have been related to low battery power in the dock, but we were not completely certain.

It is also worth noting that we've had the opportunity to test the brief rival BP3 from Withings — a product that has not yet been officially released and pay $ 20 or 30 more than the iHealth Lab BP3. In short, even if this unit is large enough to compete, so that it is one of the niche, it is more portable and as the BP3, compatible with the application, which has some of the relative advantages and disadvantages; all deals with the review of the future. It is too early to declare a winner in either of these products, we strictly advise potential users to wait until both are available before it decides to buy either one.

Overall, even though the iHealth Lab has provided useful and generally profitable new accessory, the price for the Dock, BP3, attached to the planning and implementation of the app are all off the mark — each in ways that only a little bit of extra adjustment could help. As far as blood pressure monitoring systems-iOS had significantly lower prices than in the BP3, it is important to the future of the Lab and iHealth competitors prices for their accessories more aggressively or take advantage of Apple's devices can produce results that are more than just colorful, what e-mailable versions you can was elsewhere. It is also central to Apple's hardware connecting as easy as possible, without requiring the removal of, or in the case of encountering an error. So when the BP3 represents the direction of interesting new iPod touch, iPhone and iPad accessories, continue innovation and better value for the dollar is needed before the health monitoring equipment is really an Apple Add-ons in the mainstream.

Weight-Loss Quackery through the Ages

Check out this interesting article from NPR by Scott Hensley about the sometimes amusing, sometimes down-right scary history of weight-loss gimmicks over the years.

My favorite? The 1903 ad for a $1 bar of soap that promised to "reduce" fat without any "dieting" or "gymnastics" on the part of the user. If only ...

Weight Watchers Review: Party On!

It's the start of week three of my trial of the new Weight Watchers PointsPlus program. So far I have lost just under six pounds (People on Weight Watchers can expect to lose one to two pounds per week.). I am adjusting to living on the program a little more each day. One of the things I like about Weight Watchers is that it helps you to be mindful even when you don't want to be. And that's a good thing.

A party usually throws me off my eating plan. Show me bowls full of those little things you can grab a handful of and munch away to your heart's content and I am in trouble. That all-or-nothing thing kicks in and "I-might-as-well" becomes my mantra (e.g., If I've already eaten the pretzels, I might as well go for the dip, too.)

But instead of turning into a human vacuum, I counted the Goldfish crackers I ate. I must admit: If I hadn't been on my Weight Watchers trial, nary a 'fish would have been counted. Or the peanuts. Or the nacho chips. You get the picture.

But because I knew I needed to account for my PointsPlus values for everything I ate and drank, I didn't have that "all-or-nothing/free-for-all" reaction that I might have otherwise had. Knowing that you are accountable to count those PointsPlus values, makes you stop, take a breather and yes, count each Goldfish.

Are you on the Weight Watchers PointsPlus program, too? Share your review and tell us what you like (Or don't!) about this version of the program.

Note: Weight Watchers has provided me with free access to the online version of their program, and other tools, in order for me to review the new PointsPlus program.

Find out today why THIS IS WHY YOUR FAT (AND HOW TO GET THIN FOREVER) is your first and last stop on the way to the new fit and healthy you!

Amazon Exclusive: Read Jackie Warner's Ten Tips for Getting in Shape, from Her Book This Is Why You're Fat

1. Itâ??s not how long, itâ??s how strong. Incorporate 20 minutes of high intensity cardio each day. Walk fast on a treadmill for 2 minutes at a 15 incline then sprint for 2 minutes on flat ramp. Cool down for 1 minute and repeat this cycle 3 more times until you reach your 20 minute goal.

2. Women, make sure to include weight training at least 3-4 days a week. If you add 3-5 pounds of muscle to your body, you will burn 250-500 extra calories per day which equals 3-5 pounds of fat loss per week

3. Visualize the muscles you are working onâ??this is called the mind muscle connection and it will actually increase tone.

4. Your body hits a plateau with cardio and resistance training in one month so change your weight, reps and exercises accordingly

5. The fastest way to get the body you want is through my power circuit training. Combine 3 upper body exercises and 3 lower body exercises together to make one big set. Do not rest in between and alternate quickly from upper to lower for maximum fat burn.

6. The only muscle groups that really burn fat are the primary muscles like the chest, back, quads, glute and hamstrings. Focus hard on those!

7. You have to eat within an hour of working out to make sure youâ??re not eating into the muscle for energy. Make sure that you combine proteins and carbs like a blended protein shake with fruit and peanut butter or a piece of fruit with a low-fat string cheese.

8. Donâ??t just set a weight goal, set a physical goal too like running a 3k or training for a charity marathon. Human beings are competitive and you will spark that inner competition by trying to reach a difficult physical goal.

9. A little thing like changing your music playlist every week can go a long way. The more your mind is stimulated during your workouts, the better your results will be.

10. Instead of focusing on being fat, youâ??ve got to focus on being fit. If you think healthy, it eventually becomes reality to you. I always push my clients to focus on how strong theyâ??re getting, how well theyâ??re sleeping, and how happy theyâ??re feeling by exercising.

Review: Monster Bird

Has been the matter of most of the larger end of the audio systems released the iPhone and the iPod, the clean design, many Bird that initially displays the stark but subtle tips category is typical of glossy plastic husk, cheaper all-on-ones found item. Direct box ran out of the system, it seems that a simple matte finish off-centered Trapezoid abnormally for iPhone and iPod dock to the top of the page to the left, Center, and right off the volume controls large Scoop-style carrying handle. The small power button is located in the dock, on concave and flashy anything, but the only indicator next to the add-in and the system is on the front, rear all-black grille. So too are the four speaker drivers, two We measured approximately 5 ": (a) in the case of diameter and two is approximately 1.75" — Monster calls on them to 5.25 "and 2", respectively. In the bright room controllers and silver Beats logo can be seen through the Grille; in the darkness, they are almost invisible.

This is the case, such as the Beats headphones stylish design that it is difficult to find fault with aesthetics. Bird is so visually neutral Bose SoundDock 10 's, and certainly less than polarizing B&W's Zeppelin or i.e. The Altec Lansing Mix iMT800, all systems, respectively, the great speakers and the ambitions of the fulfilment of the effective volume levels rooms. You can decide for itself whether there is a Bird's work looks for personal needs, our feeling is that it certainly is not disabled people, and so is similar to the center-channel surround speakers, that it is easy to be confused with the most living rooms.

Monster belongs to a short title only frills, including only the infrared remote control, the button designated Add, Jetty and feet prop system on a flat surface if you want to. Behind is the line-in port, power port, a short cable with rubber that comprise the title and the cover, which is marked as "Wireless Module." If we were placing bets, we would jeopardize the money Monster release the Bird 100-$ 150 AirPlay-adapter, but the company has just said, is a Wireless System-Streamcast — regardless of the adapter that can be.

All speakers, or more than EUR 300 for price-point, or a Bird to succeed or fail on the strength of its sonic performance and it is here, the system performs some of the difficulties. A positive note, the performance of the system the treble is appreciably higher than we expected from the system, which is based on the 2 drivers for high frequency sound reproduction of the "rendering engine from the crispness and detail the songs, which might be even more expensive than the B&W Zeppelin surprise the user. Lossless to both systems successively play songs sparkled slightly more Bird and sounded as if they were a little cleaner drive the same psykoakustinen reasons. Bird's top audio volume level is slightly louder than the Zeppelin's difference is not significant; both are more than enough power to deafen users in a small room and fill in the small and medium enterprises (SME)-one — only noteworthy takeaway is that both systems continue to voice their peaks in a good, if cheaper systems from each other.

Bird's biggest problem is its simpler, if it does not have a solid bass-hardware that is generally not expected the price to be paid by the systems at this stage — $ 300 all-on-ones such as the prior iMT800 and Logitech's Pure-Fi Elite is dedicated to the great speakers or more purely-bass guitar, but $450-Bird uses its 5.25 "drivers to handle medium and low frequency sounds. Medium-sized performance is also highly and treble, such as sufficiently pass muster up the price of the stage as a result of a detailed, but is that the system does not come into direct contact with the Zeppelin or iMT800, both of which offer a warm and deeper bass than a Bird is considered to be low. Even Dr. Dre's own songs run more clinically this loudspeaker, we had expected. Just one example you can feel the heartbeat of the background and resolve heavy becomes "Been There, that" with the Zeppelin, while the Bird korkeataajuisen percussion more attention. We have to guess the beat driven Dr. Dre would have preferred the former style of performance, back when the song was released in 1996, but who really knows? In any case, it is added for the sake of clarity, that Bird will offer is partially due to the restraint the bass Department; without the extra heat, floods speakers in your ears to focus on more songs, better or worse, other nuances.

Overall, high-quality, certainly Wouldn't we call the Bird anemic, when considered in its entirety, even if the reality that its performance with the top places it in the $ 300 for the iPod and iPhone audio systems We've tested the par for the sake of clarity, at the same time, some better — falling slightly short bass — although the Monster's price by selling it to the significant step. If it was $ 300 trade directly competitive or Bose SoundDock Altec iMT800, it keep my thanks to the strong performance of the treble and medium-sized, which continue to drive levels that many cheaper-to-peer is not responding. $ 450, however, it is a little Bird is achieved; its performance is at the same level as the best $ 600 speakers out there, but it does not cost much, either. It is therefore noted more than the quality of its styling as well as through the sonic benefits of offers in relation to the lower or higher-end competitors. Overall, we call it only good enough to merit at this stage; our general recommendations for the future price of the publication of the wireless adapter and tweaks can be a better buy.
